Other pill management systems and mobile compliance apps depend on self-reporting rather than direct observation. Healthcare Device Drivers
Ōmcare’s major need was to prove remote robotic medicine dispensing, consumption assistance and support using two-way video. Three-way calling capabilities were also needed in order to keep the patient’s care team connected.
There were additional healthcare product design needs including longitudinal data storage and retrieval for medication adherence confirmation, along with EHR integration to support physician directives.
