Octane Fitness needed us to develop a form language that dynamically flowed with the feeling of crisp motion, gave the user the confidence of precision, and elevated the Octane brand with a visual awareness of high quality. The ZR8000 visual brand language is now geared to motivate and inspire the inner athlete in us all. The visual appeal and the ease-of-use elements make the products more inviting, which encourages healthy living.
Our team did immersive research, providing a solid foundation of understanding; the goal was to develop an impactful new result while still maintaining brand equity.
Through product design research at our Minneapolis headquarters, we carefully created forms to cover bulky elements, which enhanced visual flow and appeal. Designed parts were set up so they could be easily split for maintenance and manufacturing purposes. Ergonomics for the media center, key holder, and water bottle holders were improved for ease-of-use.
